Hotel pickup and departure from Cusco
Between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., our team will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. We will travel for approximately 2 hours to reach the town of Mollepata.
Breakfast in Mollepata and transfer to Soraypampa
In Mollepata, we will enjoy a local breakfast to recharge our energies. Then we will continue by transport to Soraypampa (3,900 m / 12,795 ft), the starting point of our hike.
Hike to Humantay Lagoon
After a brief rest and admiring the Salkantay snow-covered mountain, we will begin a hike of approximately 2 to 3 hours to the beautiful Humantay Lagoon. During the journey, we will be surrounded by mountain landscapes, Andean nature, and impressive views.
Exploration and free time at the lagoon
Upon reaching the lagoon (4,200 m / 13,780 ft), you will have free time to enjoy the scenery, take photographs, and admire the turquoise waters surrounded by snowy peaks.
Return to Soraypampa and lunch in Mollepata
After the visit, we will make the return hike to Soraypampa and then by transport to Mollepata, where a typical lunch will be waiting for us.
Return to Cusco and end of the tour
Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco in our tourist vehicle, concluding the tour at approximately 5:00 p.m.
