The Trip in Peru team will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to start the experience through the Sacred Valley.
We will visit this Andean town known for its history, landscapes, and textile tradition. We will explore its archaeological site and you will learn about the work of local weavers, who preserve ancestral techniques.
We will head to Moray, an ancient Inca agricultural center. Its circular terraces reflect the high level of knowledge and innovation in Inca agriculture.
We will continue to the Maras Salt Mines, where more than 3,000 salt ponds are located on the mountainsides. You will learn about the traditional salt extraction process that has been maintained since pre-Hispanic times.
Around noon, we will arrive in Urubamba, where you will enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Ollantaytambo archaeological complex, one of the most outstanding examples of Inca architecture. Together with your guide, you will walk through its streets, terraces, and temples.
After the tour, we will transfer to the train station to board the Expedition or Observatory category service towards Aguas Calientes. The journey lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes and passes through Andean landscapes along the Vilcanota River.
Once in Aguas Calientes, you will go to your hotel to check in, rest, and prepare for the following day.
